About The Author
Romy Maple
I was born along the Northern California coast off Highway 101. My journey hasn’t been an easy one—years of abuse, pain, sorrow, and misunderstanding shaped my early life. I graduated high school in Ketchikan, Alaska, and soon after found joy working with children with special needs as a substitute teacher. The friendship and connection I shared with them gave me light during dark times.
After my mother passed, I felt free to follow my dream of becoming a voice. I spent time living in Maui, studied art, and earned my master’s in The Art of Self-Forgiveness. That was the beginning of something truly life-changing.
I was later invited to a speaking event in Orlando by Gary Coxe, and it was there that A&E Television discovered me. For two years, they filmed a documentary on hidden crimes against children—broadcast globally on nine channels. Messages began pouring in from people thanking me for speaking the truth.
That led me to create my website, Sexual Assault Fighter Elite | Romy Maple , and eventually Romy’s Candles & Co., where I began my self-love journey through art. It was one of the best ways to rediscover myself.
In this book, you’ll find many of those captured moments—beautiful memories I’ve chosen to hold onto in place of the painful ones. This story is my heart on paper, my rock, and proof of the power of our thoughts when we dare to rewrite our stories.
Today, I live in Fort Myers Shores, Florida. And I am Romy.
